The Purpose of the Munay-Ki
The Munay-Ki rites are offered to help individuals:
- Heal the wounds of the past — including karmic and ancestral patterns
- Awaken higher consciousness and spiritual awareness
- Align with the energies of Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the cosmos
- Step into their role as an Earth keeper — a guardian of life, balance, and sacred relationship
The initiations are meant to upgrade one’s energetic “light body,” awakening dormant spiritual abilities and deepening one’s connection to all living things.
These practices have kindly been given to all the peoples of the world by the Q'ero people to help heal the growing rift with Pachamama
The Nine Munay-Ki Rites
Each rite transmits a specific vibration, lineage, and level of empowerment.
Foundation Rites
- Healer’s Rite (Hampe Karpay) – Awakens your ability to heal yourself and others.
- Bands of Power (Chumpi Karpay) – Creates energetic protection using the five elements (earth, air, fire, water, and light).
- Harmony Rite (Ayni Karpay) – Connects you with archetypal energies and brings balance.
- Seer’s Rite (Kawak Karpay) – Awakens intuitive vision and perception beyond the physical world.
Lineage Rites
- Daykeeper’s Rite (Pampamesayok Karpay) – Connects you to the feminine lineage; the keepers of the altars and cycles of nature.
- Wisdomkeeper’s Rite (Altomesayok Karpay) – Aligns you to the mountains and masculine energy; brings strength, insight, and perspective.
- Earthkeeper’s Rite (Kurak Akuyek Karpay) – Connects you to the lineage of ancient guardians of the planet.
Creator Rites
- Starkeeper’s Rite (Mosoq Karpay) – Anchors you in cosmic consciousness, connecting you to the stars and your destiny.
- Creator Rite (Taitanchis Ranti) – Awakens realization of your co-creative power with the Divine.
How the Rites Are Given
A trained Munay-Ki practitioner (often initiated by a Q’ero shaman or teacher) gives these rites through ceremonial transmission — using breath, stones (pi stones), and intention to transfer energy to your luminous field.
The process often includes:
- Opening sacred space
- Calling in the elements and directions
- Meditation or gentle shamanic journeying
- The direct energetic transmission of the rite
- Integration and grounding afterward
Integration and Practice
After receiving the Munay-Ki rites, you are encouraged to:
- Connect regularly with fire ceremony to “feed the seeds” of the rites so they grow within your energy field
- Cultivate practices of gratitude, grounding, and service
- Deepen your relationship with Pachamama, the Apus (mountain spirits), and your own soul
